Glyptoteket is one of my absolut favourite spots in Copenhagen. Not only is Glyptoteket a great museum with beautiful sculptures and paintings by Van Gogh, Pissarro and Monet to name a few. It is for me also a place, where I can come and relax while I walk through the museum's various exhibition and admire the architecture. Most outstanding is the big winter garden with tall palm trees and a small fountain under the huge glass dome.
I usually bring my camera and computer with me, for capturing the beauty of the space and the details I meet each time. And there is something new every single time. Afterwards I sit down at the Cafe, where you can get everything from a cup of coffee to a whole dining menu. I love sitting there with my computer and get some creative work done, while sitting in the surroundings of the winter garden.
If you need a little break from the outside world, need an inspiration for a new project or just want to change your working surroundings, swapping the white surroundings of the office work space for green palm trees and sunlight, the Glyptoteket is a place worth paying a visit.
I usually go there on Thursdays, as there is a free entrance on that day. The pictures below are some of the ones I took last Thursday.
